Straight answers
My spring snapped - can I still open the door?
Do not try. With a broken spring the door weighs well over a hundred pounds and the opener is not built to lift it; forcing it is how people get hurt and how openers burn out. Leave the door down, unplug the opener and call us.
How fast can you get here?
We work seven days a week from 7 AM to 11 PM and keep slots open for same-day calls. Ring the number and we will tell you honestly what we can do today rather than promise an hour we cannot keep.
How long does a repair take?
Most spring and cable jobs run about an hour. Opener repairs are usually one to two hours. A full door installation is a half day.
Should I repair the opener or replace it?
If the motor still runs and the gears or sensors are the problem, repairing is usually the cheaper answer. Once a unit is past roughly fifteen years and parts are scarce, a new opener costs less than chasing failures. We will tell you which one you are looking at before you spend anything.
Why is my door so loud?
Nearly always worn rollers, loose hinges or dry bearings. A tune-up with new nylon rollers usually takes a door from banging to quiet, and costs far less than people expect.
Do you replace both springs if only one broke?
Yes, and we recommend it. The two springs wear at the same rate, so when one goes the other is close behind. Replacing the pair keeps the door balanced and saves a second call-out in a few months.
